An exciting month ahead! So much happening as we kick off February 1st with the Six Nations Rugby tournament (the schedule is up at the bar), Super Bowl 48 is in there as well Feb 2nd, plus the Winter Olympics kick off on the 7th! But even better, we have a couple of things happening ourselves!
Beau’s Brewery launches their annual feBREWary and we are one of the two London locations that will carry their five different brews. And by different, we truly mean different! You can check out the five different styles here. A gruit ale, a chocolate marshmallow hemp stout, an American IPA, an espresso pilsner and a hopfenweiss. One keg of each, make sure you are there early in the week to make sure you get to taste!
We have also come up with some great new martinis (read cocktails in martini glasses!) specially geared towards Valentine’s Day. The Kiss and Tell, Pink Passion Valentini, Cinnamon Heartini, and It’s Complicated…all delicious, trust us! Valentine’s itself should be a very busy night, so you might want to make sure you have reservations (519 204 9220). We will have a dinner for two special that night, as well as special desserts made for Valentine’s Day only, AND!! Fruli will be on for the month of February as well…as soon as it come sin, we are going to see if we can come up with a Fruli float.
And our usual events of course….every Monday we continue on with our MoHo Quiz night, a team event beginning at 7:30 (but usually filled by 6:45, so arrive early, or have one of your members arrive early!). Questions test a vast amount of general knowledge- geography, science, history, arts and literature, pop culture, religion, business and more. We also add in two picture rounds and a music round as well. It is a good test of knowledge, but more importantly, a fun night out!
Monday is also Meatless Monday. A lunch and dinner special featuring vegetarian and sometimes vegan items, and the soup of the day will also always be meatless!
Tuesdays we always have half price wings- day and night (philosophically and diametrically opposed when you look above!). We think that our wings are about the best in town- big and meaty, baked and grilled, never breaded or deep fried! Even better, gluten free! 10 made in house sauces to choose from, and two more that we bring in.
Winesday follows wing day. On Wednesdays, we have special pricing on wine, again, day and night. $1.50 off each glass that we serve, which at the moment is 9 reds and 5 whites, and $6 off each bottle (14 and 6 respectively).
We always suggest that you enjoy POETS Day wherever you are! (P**s Off Early, Tomorrow’s Saturday), and we are as good as spot as any on a Friday afternoon and evening!
And then we have Saturday/Sunday! The jazz brunch has been put off until March as other events (including a vacation for moi) get in the way. We do serve up a great breakfast/brunch on Saturday and Sunday, 11am- 3pm. The best thing about Sundays though? Our latest, the Sunday Roast. Starting at 5pm, we serve up a prime rib dinner with all the fixings for only $18. The beef is Ontario and is so beautifully done! We serve it until it sells out!
There you have it, February in a nutshell! We are doing our best to keep the February Blues away! Come join us?
