St Patrick’s Day (Weekend)

st-patricks-day-morning

We have been a little bit spoiled the last four years by warmth and sunshine, but to make up for that, we have an entire weekend to celebrate!

We’ll have our Irish fry up available Saturday, Sunday and Monday (11am-3pm) this year- potato pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausages, mushrooms, tomatoes and Morrissey made soda bread.  Of course, we’ll also have our wonderful lamb stew, with soda bread, and corned beef on rye.  We will be offering our full menu as well.  A new dessert this weekend as well- Guinness sticky pudding served with Bailey’s chocolate gelato.

Sunday we will be doing our prime rib dinner starting at 5pm until it is sold out.  A full on Sunday roast for only $18!

The music changes to an all Irish (with a bit of Celtic inspired Canadian as well!) mix to get you in the mood to have some fun and sing along.  Saw Doctors, Irish Rovers, Chieftans, Great Big Sea, Spirit of the West, The Pogues and more.

Of course, we have the drink too!  Of the uisce beatha variety (whiskey), we have nine Irish in stock and if you want to venture to the Scottish single malts, we have another 47!  We have you covered for beer as well, Guinness obviously, but a really nice Ontario stout as well, Sawdust City Skinny Dipping from Gravenhurst, plus Church-Key Irish Red, Wellington Terrestrial Brown Ale and yes, there will be green beer available tool.

A few giveaways this weekend- we have 20 of our shamrock shirts to give, Guinness hats and key chains, Keiths antlers, St Patrick’s Day beads and as a special bonus, a Guinness fridge!

Don’t forget, Ireland plays France and can win the Six Nations Rugby tourney on Saturday afternoon ($10 to watch that game)…and we will also be showing the Wales game prior.

Monday night we will be playing quiz as usual, so if you were planning on coming out, make it early as the restaurant is reserved at 6:45 for our usual quizzers only.  We usually finish at about 9:30, so you are welcome to close your night off with us!  Maybe one of those Irish whiskeys?!

So if you are looking to celebrate away from the masses, a little bit more low key, you have found your place!

See you on the weekend!
