Events, Specialty Nights, and Reservations/Bookings

Monday nights we have our Pub Quiz.  The Morrissey does fill up on this night, so try to arrive early.  The entire restaurant is devoted to quiz from 6:30-9:45ish and we do not take reservations (there may be room in the summer months on the patio for diners and not quizzers). Questions start promptly at 7:30pm.  We play in teams, but you are more than welcome to come out and play by yourself or join in with another group.  Maximum 5 brains per team, but you can bring more out, we just deduct two points for each extra brain.  Two picture rounds, a music round, and a good mix of questions on pop culture, geography, history, arts and literature, and every once in a while we throw in a sports question too!  UPDATE: our last quiz night will be December 18, 2017. We will host one-off pop-up quizzes in 2018, but we welcome diners Monday night beginning January 8, 2018 as we will be closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

Tuesday we sell Half Price Wings- all day and night.  We do serve up London’s best baked and grilled wings with 10 house-made sauces (plus Sriracha, which cannot be improved upon).  Gluten-free as we do not bread them or deep fry them.  We do have rules though!  No take out, no doggie bags, beverage order a must (non-alcoholic is swell of course) and one sauce per pound, please.

Winesday is a way to get you through the week, to wine down so to speak!  All of our by the glass wines (8 red, 5 white) are $1.50 off and bottles (38 now available) are $6 per bottle off.  We will also have a monthly feature for you to sample even more varieties.  The biggest news about Winesday though is that we will finally be using our BYOW endorsement!  That is right, on Winesdays, we will allow you to bring in your own bottle of wine and we will just charge a flat corkage fee.  The wine must be commercially produced (no homemade wines) and be a 750ml bottle.  As per AGCO guidelines, we also allow for you to take home the rest, ie, when you buy a bottle, we can recork it and allow you to take your purchase home!  Check out our wine list here for more information.

Thursdays in July we are selling all of our tallboys (473ml cans) for only $5.75 tax in.  The list is made up of almost exclusively Ontario craft beers and this presents you with a great opportunity to try something new!  Buy enough in July and who knows, we might do it again in August!

Sunday roast usually happens Sunday nights from the first week of November until Victoria Day- we stay away from filling you up on that roasted beef in the warmer months!  The prime rib dinner will available from 5pm until it is sold out.  Only $18 for the prime rib, mashed, vegetables and a delicious Yorkshire pudding. UPDATE! With the increase in beef prices, we have put roast night on hiatus until we can afford to sell at a reasonable price! We will let you know what is happening soon…and hopefully start again in January 2018

We do take reservations, almost necessary on a Friday or Saturday night, but we always prefer to know that you are coming no matter what day.  We do not take reservations on our patio. Please call us at 519 204 9220 to make yours today. As a warning though…often, we are busy and do not get to the phone, if this is the case, leave us a message, but do try to call back!  You can also try us at, but if you do not hear back, we are probably on the floor and busy!  Fridays and Saturdays are usually very busy and it is best to call ahead to avoid disappointment.  We also book holiday parties early, so again, best to plan well in advance.  We reserve the entire restaurant at 6:30pm on Mondays for quiz, so get in early if you are eating- as long as you are out by 6:45ish pm, we are good!

If you have an event, birthday, anniversary, stagette…please call us whatever the celebration may be!  We can offer up a space for your event that will host 10-50 people all depending on the evening, time of day, and the time of year! In-house catering is also offered, and we usually waive any room fees for the sale of food and alcohol.   Our private room seats 20-25 people comfortably with the doors closed, and depending on how well you know each other, we can fit 30!  Ask for Mark at 519 204 9220 or email him at to discuss your function. We do have group menu policies that will be posted soon!

The Morrissey House is dedicated to bringing you something different.  The music that gets played on a regular basis is a mix of jazz, northern soul, Britpop, 80’s, downtempo, indie alternative, reggae, funk, and a little R&B as well- not your everyday playlist!  All easy to listen to, always in the background as we place a premium on conversation, and if you find yourself enjoying a song, we’ll know what it is and how you can find it, and if we don’t, we’ll find someone in the bar that does!

Sunday/Monday 11am-10pm, Tuesday through Thursday, 11am-midnight, Friday and Saturday, 11am until 1am. We do not allow anyone under 19 in the restaurant after 9pm.

  2. Sorry Jacky. I replied last night but just got a notice that there was a problem with the email answer…so…no, sorry, no game today. We show the Six Nations, but that has been it for the pay per view games.
